Business Ethics & Anti-Corruption Policy

Our Commitment to Integrity

At IG-Smart Ltd, we believe that the quality of our consultancy is inextricably linked to the integrity of our conduct. We are committed to conducting all business activities with honesty, transparency, and in full compliance with the highest legal and ethical standards, including the UK Bribery Act, the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and relevant local anti-corruption laws in all jurisdictions where we operate.

Zero-Tolerance for Bribery and Corruption

IG-Smart Ltd maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding bribery and corruption. This applies to all employees, consultants, agents, and business partners. We do not engage in, authorize, or condone:

  • Bribery: Offering, promising, giving, or accepting anything of value to influence a business decision or gain an unfair advantage.
  • Kickbacks: Accepting personal payments or gifts in exchange for favourable treatment in procurement or service delivery.
  • Facilitation Payments: Making "grease payments" to government officials to expedite routine administrative actions, regardless of local custom.

Conflicts of Interest

We are committed to objective advisory. Employees must declare any potential, actual, or perceived conflict of interest. We avoid situations where personal interests, or those of our families and associates, could compromise our professional judgment. If a conflict arises, it must be disclosed immediately to the Firm’s leadership for formal management or recusal.

Gifts, Hospitality, and Entertainment

While we recognize that hospitality is a part of normal business relations, it must never be used to induce improper influence. All gifts and entertainment must be:

  • Reasonable and proportionate: Not excessive in value.
  • Transparent: Fully documented in our internal logs.
  • Infrequent: Not intended to create a sense of obligation.
  • Compliant: Consistent with both our internal policy and the policies of our clients.

Third-Party Due Diligence

We assess our supply chain and partners to ensure they share our commitment to these ethics. We reserve the right to audit and terminate relationships with any entity that demonstrates engagement in corrupt practices.

Reporting and Whistleblowing

Transparency is the backbone of our governance framework. Any person who suspects a violation of this policy is required to report it immediately.

  • Process: Reports can be made confidentially to our compliance leadership.
  • Protection: IG-Smart Ltd strictly prohibits retaliation against any individual who raises a concern in good faith. We protect the identity of whistleblowers to the fullest extent of the law.

Compliance and Review

This policy is a cornerstone of our firm's governance. All staff undergo annual training to recognize and resist risks related to corruption. This policy is subject to annual review to ensure it remains effective in an evolving global regulatory environment.
