Supplier / Third-Party Governance

Anti-Modern Slavery & Human Rights Policy

Policy Statement

IG-Smart Ltd ("the Firm") maintains a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in all its forms, including forced, compulsory, or bonded labour. As a consultancy firm, we recognize our responsibility to ensure our professional conduct, internal operations, and the partners we engage align with the highest ethical standards.

We are committed to acting with integrity, transparency, and accountability, ensuring that our business model and the advice we provide to our high-consequence clients uphold fundamental human rights.

Scope and Responsibility

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, consultants, and agents of IG-Smart Ltd. Responsibility for the implementation of this policy rests with the firm’s leadership, who ensure that modern slavery considerations are integrated into our governance framework and all client-facing engagements.

Our Commitment to Prevention

We mitigate risk by embedding ethical safeguards into our daily business operations:

  • Due Diligence: We evaluate third-party suppliers, vendors, and partners based on their commitment to ethical labour practices. For high-impact consultancy engagements, we conduct enhanced screening to confirm our partners adhere to applicable labour laws.
  • Ethical Recruitment: We maintain rigorous internal hiring processes, ensuring all employees possess the legal right to work and are treated with fairness, dignity, and respect, with full freedom to terminate their employment.
  • Supplier Code of Conduct: We require our vendors to acknowledge their adherence to local and international anti-slavery laws. We reserve the right to audit these relationships and, if necessary, terminate agreements where unethical practices are discovered.
  • Consultancy Integrity: In our governance consultancy, we proactively advise clients on the implementation of robust compliance structures, including the identification and mitigation of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) risks, of which human rights is a core component.

Reporting and Whistleblowing

We foster a culture of openness. Any employee or consultant who has concerns regarding potential violations of this policy is encouraged to raise them immediately.

  • Reporting Channel: Concerns should be directed to our Compliance Officer via info@ig-smart.com.
  • Non-Retaliation: IG-Smart Ltd guarantees that no individual will suffer retaliation or adverse consequences for reporting a concern in good faith, even if the investigation later proves the concern to be unfounded.

Training and Awareness

We recognize that modern slavery is an evolving challenge. IG-Smart Ltd is committed to:

  • Providing periodic briefings to staff on the signs of labour exploitation.

Smart Solutions

  • Integrating anti-slavery awareness into our professional development pathways.
  • Regularly reviewing this policy to ensure it remains current with emerging legislation (e.g., the EU AI Act, global labour standards, and relevant regional directives).

Continuous Improvement

As part of our commitment to governance excellence, this policy is subject to an annual review. We track our effectiveness by measuring our compliance milestones, vendor vetting outcomes, and the clarity of our communication with internal and external stakeholders.
